MenuWhat regional EU ecommerce marketplaces make sense to launch on (besides Amazon) and are there companies that assist with this.
We currently run at $10m+ annual sales in the US and are launching in EU shortly. We don't like Amazon due to their complete lack of support and are wondering what other ecommerce marketplaces are available in EU to take their place. (such as Allegro, Bol, Cdiscount, etc...)

What type of product would you be selling in EU? There are quite some specialised, regional platforms. Coolblue is another Benelux platform e.g.
As Nikki said, it does depend on the product. The answer also depends on your marketing strategy. Market place as such will not do your marketing you. For end users there is ebay for for pan-European, Tradera for sweden and many other local ones.
In Russia you can check Avito.ru - the biggest marketplace ever. Ozon.ru or Wildberries.ru.
In Ukraine - Rozetka.ua
In Poland - Olx.pl.

Your support software should cater to your needs, depending on how your business operates. Fiver uses Vanilla forum and Zendesk. Thumbtack uses Zendesk. Not sure about AirBNB, their help center seems to be custom. Depending on how well funded your are, I would recommend starting with a free plan with one of the help desk SaaS products, or even using open source ticketing platform. Then, as your needs grow and you need integration with your marketplace, there's no reason you can't scale and migrate.Viktor NagornyyVN

I think a natural choice is large provides like Amazon. However, if you want to sell eBooks on your own and maintain all of the revenue, then WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads would make excellent options. Both software packages are WordPress plugins and they make it very easy to deploy an e-commerce store for digital goods. Both plugins have strong development teams behind them and they have a slew of independent freelancers who can offer assistance if needed.
