How should I start selling on farfetch.com or yoox.com?
This depends on where you are located but in many major cities (U.S., Europe and Asia) there are showrooms buyers shop. This means, for a fee, your products are guaranteed to be viewed by buyers (though there is no way to guarantee they will select to buy them). These buyers range from local shops to regional chains to department store and boutique buyers. If you are picked up by one or more and show data to these online specialty stores, that is more appealing than a cold turkey approach. Simultaneously building an online following is key as well since both retailers have e-commerce-savvy demos.SC

What are the best practices in monetizing a blog post with 30k visitors consistently each month?
Don't even think about monetization yet. You want to focus on first starting to capture this month's traffic - even just 1% - as email subscribers who you can continually message and Market to. Once you have someone as a subscriber, you can now email them a dozen times over a few weeks promoting your affiliate offer, increasing the chance that they'll convert -- after all, who is more likely to convert? Someone who just read a post or someone who opted in and received a dozen trust building emails promoting a product? If you have an email list built off of this traffic you could even promote multiple products over time! If you have three compelling offers, you can pitch all three in sequence, with breaks for education and information. You're right to want to monetize this audience. First and foremost: you want to capture this audience as subscribers to your email list.KD

What are the most effective distribution channels to sell SaaS products?
There are several options available which would work for SaaS. The best one I can suggest is Referral Program. The referral program would need to have Training Documentation well defined as well as marketing material. This would allow you to pay other consultants or individuals to pipe leads or signups to your site to get exposure. This is especially effective in SMB market and tends to be targeted to the customer who would purchase. The second is to be more specific in contacting specific demographic targeted customers (be aware in the US you must be subscribed to Do Not Call Registery to Scrub call list for telemarketing or be potentially be fined by US Government). You can engage Lead generators to accomplish this for you but be careful that they are registered and scrub their list against the US Do Not Call Registery. Email Campaigns are good if you have users who have requested to opt into receiving an email and also have opt out options to remove themselves from the list to comply with US and other countries SPAM Laws. Then there are advertising though multiple media types beyond email and banner advertisements such as radio, TV, Billboards, Magazines and other print media.MB

How would be the major differences between a centralised platform business model , a central franchise model & a distributed model?
Before you weigh the pros and cons of different platforms structures it's important to think about who your customers are and how you want the business to grow. I help companies find their most profitable customers and have worked with pre-revenue to high-growth $70M+ companies in the SaaS, consumer products and professional service spaces. We usually start our work by aligning around what the vision for the company is asking questions like "Where do we want to be in 3 years? Why?" From there we think about how customers will encounter and use the product, asking: - "Is it a business where relationships and high company involvement is needed after a sale is made?" A centralised business model is a good fit (more quality control). - "Are we a service based business seeking to minimize risk while expanding?" Then a franchise model is better. A business model/structure tumbles out having clear answers to these questions. One business structure is not inherently better than another. You're just picking the structure that best facilitates your business goals. Don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to discuss your potential business model in more detail.AV

What do I need if I want to be a supplement reseller in Canada? Would like to sell USA products that we don't have access to in Canada.
I hope I understood this right! You are in Canada and want to sell USA products but you don't know how and don't have licenses! Yes?... 1-Find a local Canadian supplier that have the appropriate licenses to sell, meaning that they can import from USA, 2-Call USA suppliers and tell them you want to buy in bulk and sell in Canada and need wholesale prices. 3- Find an importing/exporting company with appropriate licenses and ship your products 4- Cut a deal with a Canadian distribute on monthly sales commission OR per quantity sales price and collect your cash.. 5- I didnt get the part with online store!! Than you need to set up your online store?? BUT, make sure to start with local chamber of commerce or similar government offices to get understanding on what you can import and export, licenses etc... before you do anything.MA
