MenuHow to get started as an affiliate and build a successful business?
Answers
I think we need to reframe the question around what audience do you want to serve? Who do you want to help? Focus on building the best possible resource to solve a certain problem, and trust that the money will follow.
One affiliate example I often point to is TripAdvisor. They didn't set out to "become an affiliate and build a website." They set out to build an authoritative brand in the travel space, and now earn a ton of money from flight and hotel bookings as an affiliate. They solve a specific problem (with my limited travel budget, what are my best options?) and found a way to monetize that.
Find a niche / subject that you love (you'll have to write a lot) and develop content around common problems in the niche. Try to monetize these first articles using adsense and product reviews to validate the niche and your angle (around 60 articles).
You can use guest posting to build your domain authority during this first phase.
There are many ways to bootstrap an authority website / affiliate website but this is the one i've used in the past. As soon as your website can finance content creation it'll scale quickly.
Hope it'll help.
I have been working in the affiliate industry for almost ten years and have helped numerous people start to make a living at it. Let's do a quick call to help you start making money. It's easier than you think actually to get started.
To get started as an affiliate and build a successful business keep the following points in mind:
Research and Select the Right Affiliate Product. A sound product strategy is a must for new affiliate marketers. Ideally, you should choose a niche that you can make money online with and has a lot of product vendors. Consider Buying the Product Before Promoting It. After establishing some steady income, it may even be worth buying higher-end products, provided you get in touch with the product creator to work out a strategic marketing plan that takes you to the next level. Cloaking or using anchor links was a controversial issue in internet marketing circles, with some affiliate marketers swearing by it and others who feel it is unnecessary.

How do we get influencers to work on a commission basis? We ran out of $ on PPC campaigns. I need an influencer expert.
Some of those same influencers who turned you down might have written about your service if you hadn't offered to pay them. You should have instead sent them a bag of dicks. If they're a celebrity, you can get their agent's address from http://contactanycelebrity.com/ (it sounds fake, but it's actually totally legit, agents actually send them info). If they don't have an agent, try to look for a 'fan mail' address that they might have posted on a video or something. If you can't get any relevant address, then look up their friends on social media instead, and offer to pay them $xxx cash to send a back of dicks to their friend, and a cut of whatever orders end up being generated by that (if the influencer ends up writing about it). There are more techniques you can use to get influencers to post for free about it. Send me a message if you want to discuss it more, or just to say thanks if any of these ideas work (I'd actually like to know). all the best, LeeLV

What Wordpress Plugins is the best for creating a Multi-Level Affiliate Marketing program?
There is a lot of points in your question which unless someone has the exact same setup as you - I don't think you will get the answers you are looking for. I believe you should limit it by asking yourself: What is the ONE thing the MLM plugin I am looking for can do so that it achieves the maximum amount of result to my business by using it? IMHO - it would be the ability to set commissions for the products you sell and award commissions to those affiliates that actually earn you sales. All other features, while nice, are ancillary features that from the perspective of the affiliate - don't really need in order to be successful. In that regard - I would suggest https://affiliatewp.com/. When it comes to running affiliate programs on WP sites, it wins out as the best in my experience. Hope this helps! Glad to assist any further if you need help.TB
