MenuIs there anywhere I can trade my mobile & web UI/UX design service for web and mobile dev help?
Like most founders, I need the most help in a specific area. I am a mobile & web graphic designer with 12+ years experience willing to trade my design services in exchange for web and mobile dev help. Please contact me if you can help me.

I value your request for help. However, my experience is that a straight barter of design services for development services is not necessarily equitable, as design is most often a fraction of overall development effort and cost, albeit, design is critical and sets the stage for success in a project. At DVmobile, we believe that the first 15% of a project (including design) is what make the remaining 85% of a project successful.
Bartering often implies very low revenue potential in the relationship. It begs for similar circumstances in your partner, a willingness to work for services vs. cash payment.
My recommendation would be for you to attract multiple partners that can leverage your services on a part-time contract basis. If you are attracting customers with your design skills, many development firms, including mine, are willing to do subcontract or partner based work. It’s usually easier to market great design skills in today’s market, than coding skills.
I might be able to assist with this. Happy to do a call and discuss your particular needs. I work a lot of reseller deals like this where I build and pair up teams.

I am interested in reskinning apps for Android.Does reskinning the available source codes just add to the numerous existing similar apps?
Not necessarily, if your app can potentially serve different markets with different demographics, it may be beneficial to market to each market individually. Since app interface often serves as a marketing tool, it is important that it resonates with its target audience. This means having a different interface for the same set of functionalities depending on your audience may be prudent. On the contrary, if you are simply trying to create variations of the app for a single market by short-cutting user testing and hoping that one of the interfaces will generate more interest, you are then over-saturating the market and may actually hurt yourself by creating unnecessary confusion for your users. I would suggest looking into what other apps your target audience is using and working off that to create a single user experience which would resonate with them. Where Can I find more clients for iOS Development Jobs?
Have you tried AdWords and a website/landing page for you or your business? I know a company in Brazil that is doing exactly this: * They have a website/landing page setup that explains how they charge for the application and has a call-to-action button to ask for an evaluation of the project the client have * They have thought and described a way to evaluate projects roughly so that the client may have an idea of time / costs of the project * Their website has images of applications they have developed before in a portfolio They are doing great, actually they have more people asking them projects than they are able to develop and they started rejecting offers.AM

What is the best project management tool for a startup developing and scaling a mobile application?
I tried Basecamp, Jira, Unfuddle, Trello and PivotalTracker before for different projects which were developed with agile approach. All of them worked fine to me and I needed some time to setup my framework and processes there. I think it would be worth checking Trello or PivotalTracker which I personally like more than Basecamp because of better agile oriented structure.DL
