Hi, I'm looking for a finance software like mint that can manage personal finance, investments such as funds, as well real estate in different countries.
Most important - I don't have time to do manual data input, I would like the software to import the data and automatically code it into specific buckets, so if I go to Starbucks and put that into my credit card It will automatically code it into a food expense (even if I build these rules myself).
It would be also good to see trends and build rules to compare investment benchmarks.
Ideally an offline solution is good for me as banks don't get responsible if you use mint.com and someone hacks into your account.
I have been working in personal finance for 18 years, am a Certified Financial Planner(TM), and hold a Master of Science degree in personal financial planning...
Mint.com and Quicken, both products of the company Intuit, are clear leaders in the personal finance application space. Mint.com is for those who don't mind having all their data stored in the "cloud" and want a free product in exchange for seeing advertisements. While Quicken is a paid offline software package. Like Mint, Quicken is fully capable of automatically importing your bank and credit card transactions, and categorizing those transactions based on your rules. It is also far more flexible than Mint for the creation of custom categories.
There are certainly other options -- Yodlee, Guide, Balance, to name a few -- but the companies and features are still in early development compared to the offerings of Intuit.
I am an active user of each of these software packages and services.

Hello!
Managing personal finance and investments efficiently is crucial, and I understand your need for a comprehensive solution. Considering your requirements, I'd recommend exploring the app YNAB (You Need A Budget).
YNAB is known for its user-friendly interface, automatic transaction importing, and robust budgeting features. It allows you to create rules for categorizing transactions, and it provides insights into spending habits and trends. While it does require manual input, the process is streamlined and provides a real-time view of your financial situation.
However, if you're looking for an offline solution, it's essential to note that many modern finance apps rely on online connectivity for real-time data and security updates. You might need to compromise a bit on the offline aspect to access the latest features and security measures.
