Hi, my name is Angela Nguyen, or Ang! I work in the graphic design and UX industry. On the side, I'm a published author with my own series of drawing books. About my expertise:
I have a background in graphic and brand design. I've worked in agencies and corporate companies designing marketing campaigns, websites, iconography, motion design, and more. Some of my partners include Google, Nike, Rosetta, Mattel, Samsung, Amazon, and more. I've also done my own freelance projects working on logos and entire brand identities.

UI and UX Design

Get guidance on your design thinking, process, graphical UI, and implementations. If you are looking to get into UI/UX, I can share with you the process of building a portfolio, learning about design, and applying for jobs or schools. If you're looking for a longer term mentorship, we can identify your strengths and weaknesses over time by reviewing ongoing projects.

About my expertise:
I'm currently working in the User interface and experience industry, designing for artificial intelligence and multimodal devices. My expertise is around customer journey flows, wireframing, user researching, user interface design, prototyping, and product design.

Digital Illustration

Receive critique on your illustrations, from form, color, composition, technique, to organization. If you're looking to get into digital art, I can give you guidance on how to get started, how to find your style, what programs to use, what devices to check out, and share how it's unique from traditional art. Although I primarily work in digital, I'm happy to critique your traditional work too since I do watercolor and marker art. Please note that my specialty is around cute, minimal, pop colors, and bold line art.

About my expertise:
I'm a digital illustrator that runs an online art business and has published a series of How to Draw Cute Stuff books. I primarily work digital, on my iPad using Procreate, and other desktop programs such as the Adobe Suite.

I can give you critique on projects or ideas you are working on. And if you don't have a business but would like to start, I can give you guidance on how to set that up or find your style.

I have my own art business (PIKARAR), founded in 2009. I have an online store where I sell my artwork and ship all the merchandise personally. I am partnered with other brands that also distribute my work, such as For Fans By Fans. I monetize and stream my artwork on Twitch, to engage with my audience. I participate at conventions and artist alleys across the world to promote my work. And I'm a published author for a How To Draw Cute Stuff series, with titles sold globally. My focus is in art and design consultancy.
