I am a management consultant and author of the Axiom award winning book "The Heretics Guide to Best Practices: The Reality of Managing Complex Problems in Organsiations".

Started out life as an IT geek for the better part of fifteen years before moving into Information Architecture, Complex Problems Solving, Facilitation and Dialogue Mapping. Still have the geek side of my brain there, but have spent the last few years in many interesting projects in an organisational development and sensemaking role.

Since 2007, I've been the owner of a consultancy called Seven Sigma (www.sevensigma.com.au) and the author of the Cleverworkarounds (www.cleverworkarounds.com) blog. Also a partner of Inovus (www.inovus.com.au) - a consultancy that combines some incredible skills into one place.

I like to play piano, listen to heavy metal music and watch dumb movies :-)

"I first met Paul on the Stirling Alliance through a series of Workshops utilising Dialogue Mapping.

Paul's use of this novel facilitation method allows groups to 'make sense' of obscure situations, clouded in uncertainty and complexity. He is highly skilled at it and I was particularly impressed by his ability to deal with the Participants confusion and irritability. The production of the 'Visual Map' as an output of the Workshop provides a great insight into the 'Wicked Problem' and the realtionships between elements of the emerging sytem.

Recently I had the pleasure of attending one of Paul's presentations and can now not only recommend him as a great writer, but as an equally talented speaker.
