I consider myself to be very fortunate to have worked and continue to work with Miles and his team. Miles is a very creative and very intelligent individual who never loses sight of the customers needs. Miles is able to channel his team of talented individuals to achieve greatness on time and on budget. Working with Miles and team have required me to raise my game and it has been a pleasure working with them.
Aside from being exceptionally good at what he does, Miles is both passionate and pragmatic. He takes a no-nonsense approach to his work and is highly conceptual, creative and grounded in the realities of human behavior. Miles is part educator, part practitioner, part futurist. He's an inspiration and delight to work with. Very direct yet always polite. Hard working. Always interesting. What more could you ask for from a UX expert?
Miles assisted in the design of the new Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, helping to create and integrate new technological displays, organize the visual display and coordinate the audio guide. His assistance was indispensable to the project and a large part of its overall success.
I have had the pleasure of working with Miles on numerous occasions and wouldn't hesitate to retain his services again. Miles is years ahead of his time and approaches every challenge with a great positive outlook and the end result is always better than what you could anticipate. He is also a great guy to work with and maintains a high level of integrity.
Miles is the best. His knowledge and vision for technology are matched only by his creative outlook on the world. I would beg, borrow, and/or steal to have him on any project.
Miles Kemp is whip-smart. He has an incredibly broad set of knowledge across a wide range of media. I've been very impressed by his ability to move among mobile and MID devices, PC interfaces, TV UI, and physical spaces. In all of them Miles brings the kind of research-based experience decisions that are at the heart of what we do at Schematic - and why he was a superstar during his time with us. Post-Schematic, Miles has continued to amaze and impress.
Miles deserves to be acknowledged as the leading UX architect behind the most innovative media and ecommerce applications in use today. What makes him so successful, in my opinion, is that his training and career as an architect carried over into UX and UI design for interactive media communications. Miles is able to see software systems as 3D and 4D; as living systems used by humans. His solutions are like most great designers/programmers: simple on the surface and even as an equation, but extremely complex in their longitudinal modalities. Long live Mile Kemp and his creative solutions!
I have known Miles for well over 6 years. During that time, I have seen Miles diligently experiment in some very exciting projects and processes. He is passionate about design and technology and I have seen him push the discourse of how we will interact through these areas in the future.
Beyond his work ethic, I know Miles to be a good person. He consistently has a positive attitude, he values his relationships with others, and is always ready to help. I have no doubt Miles will achieve all of his goals.
