Mike provided an unforgettable experience during our trip to the Fernie area of B.C. The riding was spectacular, the food was excellent, the organization was top notch. Mike and his employees/guides were friendly, knowledgeable and supportive.
Mike and his company Sacred Rides provided me and my friends a incredible mountain bike trip in the canadian rockies. He personnalized a seven day adventure answering all of our expectations for my 40th birthday. Everything was perfect (transport, food, lodging and most important guiding & riding)...I highly recommand Sacred Rides to anyone that is looking to live an outstanding mountain bike experience. Mike calls himself the "customer hapiness manager"...I simply agree!
mike is sure a nice guy! i've worked with mike taking pictures for him and for magazine articles on two separate and amazing trips. one to peru and one to slovenia. mike is a pro. he's dealt with all details from, trail-side injuries to obtaining snacks from roadside vendors, to organizing multi-person tours in foreign countries, all with a smile! ride on mike b.
Mike provided an excellent overall experience for the trip that I took (Peru DH, May 2008). His communication about the trip was excellent, the process of booking and paying for the trip was smooth and easy, and all my questions were answered quickly. I would definitely recommend Mike and his company to anyone looking for an amazing trip.
At the time I met Mike in the late summer of 2004 he was owner and operator of "Fernie Fat Tire", a small mountain bike holiday company in Fernie BC, which has now evolved into "Sacred Rides Mountain Bike Holidays". I had signed up for a week long cross country tour, hitting prime biking spots in Alberta and BC. Mike and his guides were extremely personable and made every effort to make sure that their clients were well looked after, so that all we had to think about was the sweet rides. From the time I was picked up at my hotel to the time I was dropped off at the airport a week later everything was looked after. The food was excellent, the guides were friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helped me push myself as a rider, but knew when I was going too far outside my comfort zone and made sure I stayed safe. If you are looking for a great mountain biking adventure I highly recommend you get in touch with Mike and try one of his Sacred rides.
Working with Mike is always a joy -- where most people see hills and valleys, Mike sees new adventure! No boulders in his path, will stop this visionary, on-the-go leader from making the world a better place! I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him at CSI!
