Staff Writer for the U.S. Bureau of Nikkei Business, Japan's leading weekly business publication. I cover a medley of topics and industries that are pertinent to Japanese business discourse, and seek to provide readers with a unique view about global trends that have implications on Japan from a U.S. perspective.
I don't have a 'beat' per se, but I have been focusing on venture capital and start-ups, part as a personal interest and part in my professional capacity. In November of 2012, the Chief Correspondent of our U.S. Bureau and I wrote an in depth piece on economic and political position of the United States. We covered the housing market, the ever inflating rate of student loans, the politics - I dedicated a chapter to Chicago and its burgeoning start-up scene to inject some positive sentiment into an article saturated with burdensome implications for U.S. economic discourse.
