Mark is more than a great team player, he is a natual team builder-upper. Unless Mark was out meeting with clients, he was always in the office early, and usually, the last one to leave. His commitment to his work is extraordinary, and his ability to juggle numerous projects, with a wide array of team members--all with different skill sets--is key to his success in accounts services, marketing, and beyond.
Mark brings a winning combination of youthful enthusiasm and a mature sense of dedication to every project he touches. He is a highly valued colleague who consistently respects and validates the contributions of every member of our team. Mark demonstrates his strength on a daily basis as a critical thinker and an articulate communicator. I am continually impressed with his polished, professional, yet highly engaging interaction with clients. Despite a grueling work schedule, he devotes an incredible amount of time and energy to work with the cancer community. Mark is a truly remarkable young man and I hope to have the honor to continue to work with him as his career develops..
Mark has the uncanny ability to take a room of 650 strangers and make them his best friend. While working on the 2010 Relay For Life Regional Summit, we as staff were concerned about our ability to generate the same energy and enthusiasm as our previously larger events had garnered. Mark put our worries to rest right off the bat. By creating and delivering a high-impact presentation on the importance of engaging new constituents, that room of 650 high-level volunteers left with a renewed passion for the work of the American Cancer Society. As communications and marketing manager for the organization, I can tell you that it is a rare opportunity to put an articulate volunteer in front of a group. It is even MORE rare to find one that delivers above and beyond what you've asked. Mark rocks. Period.
The category listing here is not quite accurate for the time that Mark and I have been acquainted. Mark has been a volunteer, leader, fundraiser, strategic thinker and motivator for the American Cancer Society with great results and exceptionally positive response from staff and volunteers.
Though he has maintained focus as a student and then an employee in other organizations Mark in filled with energy and has the effect of a full time employee and leader in this organization as well. He has found way to integrate, keep the growth of the American Cancer Society consistent while focusing on the Mission to stop cancer through research, prevent it through education and help Survivors feel better through services while maintaining the need to raise the funds to support the Mission. While representing us as a key volunteer he has also been influential in training and motivation our full time staff. He has also demonstrated willingness on taking personal interest and dedicates time on an individual to individual basis.
Marks passion, forward thinking and good decision process is contagious.
