Kavit is the consummate motivator, marketer, and model, in that he regularly models the marketing methods he believes are worth a try, plus he motivates others to experiment with these methods for themselves. I feel that Kavit does a fairly good job of making clear that all his ideas are not for everyone. He offers a palette from which artists can pick and choose the colors to paint the strategy for achieving the outcomes they desire.
I was referred to Kavit by a friend and so I first checked out his site some time back. However, I knew I didn't have time on hand to consider working with him further. I was particularly struck by his personal story of overcoming his own fears to push ahead with what he wanted to do.
When I was ready to invest additional time in planning my career, I went to visit his site again in June 2008 and I signed up on his mailing list specifically to receive the free copy of The Strategy Guide To Succeeding As A Musician In 2008. I observed that this guide was not only informative in and of itself as it relates to marketing, but it also set up an introduction to his Musicians Mastermind Coaching Program. I found this to be another way in which Kavit sets a positive example for his readers by being vigilant about his own marketing in the process of teaching others.
As I was reading the guide, it felt like common sense being applied to marketing! I became excited about trying out the different suggestions. For example, even though I had a profile on Facebook, I first learned about launching an Artist Page on Facebook from Kavit.
Although I did not think that the Musicians Mastermind Coaching Program suited my needs, I was inspired to work with him for a couple of months through his "consulting by email" offer during the time I was working on my business plan and experimenting with some of the methods he suggested in his his guide last summer. Today I feel confident about incorporating online social networking into my overall marketing plan.
