Josh is the Assistant Chief of Public Safety with the Louisville Airport Authority, the governing body over Louisville International Airport. In his role, Josh serves in senior management of the Department of Public Safety with oversight of law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical care, Canine operations, communications, and Credentialing and Security operations. Josh is also the Airport Security Coordinator (ASC), the responsible party for security compliance and liaison with the Transportation Security Administration. Josh is an active member of the Airport Law Enforcement Agency Network (ALEAN) and works to promote aviation policing and security across the globe. Josh was a contributing author to the leading textbook on Aviation Security and serves of the Editorial Board for the internationally published Journal of Airport Management.

Josh has previously served in leadership positions in Information Technology with Highview Baptist Church and Whitefield Academy where he coordinated and led efforts for IT policy and direction. Josh spent over 15 years in IT working for small non-profits to Fortune 100 companies.
Before joining the Louisville Airport Authority, Josh worked as a Deputy Sheriff, Fire Marshall, and in IT. He spent over 25 years with the Boy Scouts of America where he went from Tiger Cub to Eagle Scout and then on to Assistant Scout Master. Josh spent many of his Scouting years in leadership positions, including leading a unit through the Rocky Mountains and a troop to a National Jamboree.
With a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration and Master of Public Administration, Josh has worked diligently to further his education and promote education to others.
