I began learning music at the age of eight. In 2006, I placed a stronger professional focus on music composition and audio production, while continuing my broader creative work in advertising and multimedia.

My professional music experience includes original compositions, arrangements, sound design and audio production for television commercials, audiovisual productions and events.

Music Theory & Modern Harmony

I help musicians and composers understand and apply music theory and modern harmony.

Sessions can cover chord construction, harmonic progressions, scales, modes, intervals, melody, voice leading and the relationship between harmony and composition.

We can examine a piece of music, work through a harmonic question, or explore ways to apply theoretical concepts to your own playing and songwriting.

This consultation focuses on musical understanding and harmonic development rather than recording, mixing or production.

An artist by all means, and an equally tactical thinker. Joe has delivered some breathe-taking pieces of music on several occasions, were it for TV commercials, short movies, or multimedia environments. He tastefully choses his notes, and deeply interprets thoughts and feelings into harmonious melodies. Joe is truly a master musician! I got some courses with him a few years back to better understand the concepts of music theory and harmony - he was truly efficient and had a trained eye for details, I found a lot more depth and logic than with many others in the field!
