Jay was an excellent inspiration to the team with his industry knowledge, professionalism and full commitment and support to his team. Jay joined use to manage a project that overhauled every single business application and needed to be delivered practically yesterday, where there was nothing but chaos with scope creep, developer overtime and practically no visibility between business and IT. He turned this around fantastically to a product that is driven by business priorities, and provides complete documentation and visibility to the business. He championed processes that increase developer productivity, manage scope, estimate and deliver value proactively across all fronts and phases of the SDLC. As a product owner he's very focused with designs that place the user first, and has a good grasp over web development, enough to be at ease discussing technical debt with developers and communicating the value from these insights to the business. He has held his own in times of extreme pressure, never to waver away from his focus on delivering value for the team. I first met Jay when one of my ReachLocal colleagues asked me to discuss his campaign with him.

At the time, he struck me as being a very sharp person when it came to online marketing & IT in general (not the normal kind of client we got at ReachLocal :-) ), so it was great to be able to discuss the issues at a high level.

After that, we connected again when my NBAR BDM (Stefan) approached the RAC about using ReachLocal's services to advertise their products.

Once we got the contract to promote the RAC Travel Insurance product, Jay was a regular feature in our communications with the RAC, as he provided ongoing high level advice and assistance for us to enable us to provide the best results possible.

If you're looking for a sharp operator in the digital space, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone much better than Jay. I highly recommend him to any potential employer.
