Coty McDowell Helping foster care families is what I do!!
Danville, CA
My name is Coty McDowell, and I am a previous foster child. I have a lot of experience as a foster youth to bring to the table for any new Forster parents or existing foster parents. I was in and out of foster care homes for many years until i was finally put in my last foster home with a Wonderful loving family in Danville, Ca. They helped me succeed tremendously. I was so far behind in school at the age of 11 when I was placed in their care. I was able to take extra classes to catch up and fit in with the rest of my class mates. I had completed one of the hardest challenges of my life. I was only able to complete this because of my loving, caring and wonderful new parents. Just a little background on my previous living situation. I grew up with my mother in Antioch, Ca…

I have a lot of experience as a foster youth to bring to the table for any new Foster parents or existing foster parents. I grew up with my mother in Antioch, CA. My father was murdered when I was only 3 years old. My real mother was a drug addict at the time, and therefore neglected me. I was forced to take care of myself day to day. I stayed away from my home for fear if I were to go home, I would get beaten by my mother so her boyfriends wouldn't do it even worse. The area of town we lived in was, and still is, a terrible low income, violent and drug ridden place to call home. I was on the verge of being completely lost as a human being. If I wasn't taken into foster care at the time that I was I would have probably followed in the same footsteps as everyone else around me... either in jail for some crime or a drug addict, or worse...Both. I was able to turn my life around because of the wonderful parents which I still have today, to whom I owe a great debt for saving me. I bring alot of knowledge to the table as far as my family's adventure on taking me in and learning how to adapt, cope and help me. I had disorders for pretty much everything you can think of, like food issues. I was almost to the point of storing food to eat later because I wasn't sure if I would get the chance to eat again that day etc. My foster parents before hand were all terrible, they were in it for the check they would get every month and not actually there to help me in any way. I have alot of knowledge on what worked and what did not. So my question to you is if your are looking for advice on anything foster related weather your thinking about being a foster parent or how to help your foster kid with situations you are facing I'm the guy you need to talk to to help overcome any obstacle you may face or facing currently. As you may know as a foster care parent they do make you take lots of tests and give classes but what they don't teach you is how to actually help the children your fostering. Foster care providers and child services are only there to help the biological parents get on track to get there kids back. So how do they help the children who bounce around from home to home until there parents get the help they need to get their family back in order. Thats the million dollar question. Thats where I come in. My advice and services are available over the phone or email. If you need help, I am there for you and the kids.If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call me or email me! You will receive my help and guidance and coaching for helping you through difficult problems with you're foster child that you can't learn by any one else except a former foster care child whose life was a success story. This mainly includes me answering your questions and coaching you on how to handle your specific foster Child's needs, or how to approach difficult challenges. I will walk you through it. This is for the children, So please be the best foster care parents/parent you can be. You will change lives for the better. This I promise. I look forward to helping you with any questions you may have. Thank you!!Coty McDowell Danville, CANew Arrival
