I've worked under Christoph's direction during video shoots for BVS and have been impressed with the efficiency at which he operates. He strives for perfection and holds high standards in his work. At the same time, he holds a personable attitiude that makes for a comfortable work environment. I would recommend Christoph as someone to work with.
Source: LinkedIn Jeff Raasch Nov 6, 2014Christoph's work for The Gazette, a general circulation daily newspaper in Eastern Iowa, was outstanding. He started as a correspondent, then worked as a overachieving intern. When he returned as our public safety reporter, he found and wrote an astounding number of exclusive, enterprising stories. He was widely respected by his sources and his colleagues. We hated losing him
Source: LinkedIn Mary Sharp Jan 24, 2014I work with Christoph when producing training video for the banking industry. He serves as the producer on these shoots, which entails writing the scripts, meeting with crew members to discuss details of the production, and directing the crew and cast during the shoot. He is responsible for the final look of the production and keeping it within the strict guidelines set by the company he's working for. Christoph has been nice to work with, as he is both attentive and demanding, yet also very humorous and fun. I hope to have the pleasure to work with Christoph again soon.
Source: LinkedIn Jeff Backerman Jan 24, 2014Christoph and I have worked together on two projects -- both were training videos for the company he works for, BVS. Christoph hired me as an actor on both productions. I enjoy working for Christoph. He is always well-prepared, detail oriented and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Christoph and his organization to any actors looking for this type of work.
Source: LinkedIn Joe Jennison Jan 24, 2014Christoph was a detail-oriented reporter who covered his beat thoroughly. Stories did not slip past Christoph, and his writing always captured the personal details that made readers feel like they were there. Most importantly, though, he was ACCURATE.
Source: LinkedIn Rob Bignell Jan 24, 2014Christoph raised the bar for public safety reporting at The Gazette and GazetteOnline.com. His strong rapport-building skills, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, initiative, technological savvy, foresight, attention to detail and analytical abilities all contributed to his stellar work at spot news reporting and enterprise writing.
Source: LinkedIn John McGlothlen Jan 24, 2014Christoph was one of the best public safety reporters we've had at The Gazette. His relationships with key sources helped us get stories that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise, and he worked doggedly to pursue stories that might have fallen by the wayside without such efforts. He always had new ideas to improve our products and brought a great deal of energy to the newsroom. He is missed here at The Gazette. Had I the opportunity, I'd hire him without hesitation.
Source: LinkedIn Richard Pratt Jan 24, 2014Christoph is an engaged, energetic, enterprising reporter with an obvious passion for crime and public safety stories. He knows how to work a beat. He generates all kinds of story ideas. And he frequently scooped the competition as a writer for both the Iowa City Press-Citizen and the Gazette. Public safety is a tough beat, and police are often reluctant to speak with reporters. But it's clear from Chistoph's stories that he developed strong source relationships with authorities and gained their trust and respect.
Source: LinkedIn Grant Schulte Jan 24, 2014Christoph impressed me, not just for his natural abilities, but for his desire to learn and improve in every aspect of his job. He showed a passion and devotion to his work.
Source: LinkedIn David Stoeffler Jan 24, 2014Christoph is a highly motivated young man. As a student, he was an enthusiastic learner and a great team player. His hard work, dedication, and kindness set him far above his peers. He is reliable, responsible, and serious about becoming the best journalist he can be.
Source: LinkedIn Jill Fishbaugh Jan 24, 2014It all depends on the projects at hand. Some projects may need close to 100 percent of time to be dedicated to problem solving. This can shift based on needs and changes in projects.

JSJeffrey S KleinMedia CEO, Marketing Exec, Lawyer, Writer • Los AngelesI enjoy sharing the insights I gained in my 30+ year career as a CEO, lawyer, writer, marketer, and publishing (digital and analog) executive. I've been fortunate to have had an eclectic, highly accomplished career that has taught me one great skill: judgment. I've been the CEO of two publishing companies and cofounded one of them. I've run one of the editions of the Los Angeles Times and also served as the newspaper's chief consumer marketing executive, and General Manager, News. For 10 years I wrote a weekly consumer law advice column in the LA Times. And for several years authored a monthly management column for Folio, the trade journal for the magazine industry. I started my career as an entertainment lawyer representing movie stars, writers and directors, and, in the most intellectually stimulating job I ever had, was the First Amendment and libel lawyer for the editors and reporters of the Los Angeles Times. I've taught graduate level courses in media entrepreneurship, business of journalism, media law and digital business strategies at USC (Annenberg School) and Columbia University (Journalism School). I'm now the chairman of the board of a business to business multimedia company (1105 Media Inc.), and serve on the board of a community newspaper group (Embarcadero Publishing). I've served on the boards of numerous nonprofits, including being chair of a large regional anti-poverty clinic (Meet Each Need with Dignity). I currently devote substantial time to my role as a member of the board of trustees of Claremont McKenna College. I'm interested in serving on the boards of digital media companies, mentoring senior executives, and helping young people with their career development and planning. Feel free to contact me.
