Author of the Australian National Competency Standards in Organisational Change Management, Australia's first Diploma of OCM and the RIMER...Managing Successful Change Management Methodology
I have a background in consulting, training, coaching dating back from 1983. Since then I have provided services to medium to large organisations in the public, private and not for profit sectors.
My experience is supported with formal qualifications in Master of Business Administration, majoring in Organisational Reform, as well as courses in Training, Counselling, Communications, Human Resource Management, Executive Coaching, Project and Program Management.
Recently, I was humbled in acquiring Australian Institute of Management RIMER Change Management Practitioner certificate. It is a partial fulfillment in my journey to acquire the RIMER Change Management Diploma which was a brain child of Christina. She used her vast experience in higher management roles throughout her versatile career to develop a much more practical change management diploma course for the first time in Australian history. Most of the organisations are surrounded by ‘Change’ due to various socio-economics changes in society causing panic and distress among staff. This is causing a massive reduction in efficiency and productivity of the organisations which creates more chaos and changes in a very destructive spiral pattern. Simply following a very basic set of rules in RIMER methodology organisations can manage change effectively and can retain a harmonious environment for all stakeholders that fulfill the promises of all change – improvement!
Christina has been invaluable to organisations in her contributions to change management. Christina is a world leader in change management with the launch of the Diploma of Change Management, the first educational qualification in the world for change management. Christina is a highly effective coach and mentor in change management. I continously utilise Christina's methodologies in ensuring that we obtain buyin for change projects. The RIMER methodology as provided by Christina consistently creates value by removing uncertainty and risk from the change management process.
I first met Christina when we worked together on a statewide public private hospitals’ partnership project in Queensland. She is a highly energetic person whose passion for partnering with organisations to assist them in delivering best practice around organisational change sets her apart from her competitors. She is responsive, committed to staying at the forefront of her profession and is tireless in her pursuit of achieving personal and business goals. Definitely worth knowing if you need specialist expertise in all areas of organisational change and effectiveness.
I met Christina as a student in her Diploma of Organisational Change course (RIMER) She not only has written a first class Change Management program, she has connected it to the Australian national training framework. She is a well respected first class trainer, coach and mentor as has a wealth of project and change management skills honed by going through the only true way of learning, at the school of hard knocks. With her drive and commitment, I can highly recommend Christina particularly for those 'prickly' change projects that demands the best of the best. It is in part thanks to Christina that today I hold a great position as a Change Manager within a national energy company.
Christina has provided insight, structure and practical examples of how change management can effectively be managed on projects.
Drawing on her own experiences provides a better insight into how the application of apporaches and tactics can help to ensure a robust change strategy leads to success.
In early 2011, I undertook the Diploma of Organisational Change Management which was delivered by Christina Dean. Through this Diploma, Christina introduced me to the RIMER (Respond, Inform, Motivate, Enable and Restore) Managing Successful Change methodology, which has provided me with a toolkit and systematic approach to successfully implement organisational change within my own organisation. The RIMER methodology also aligns with Prince2 and PMBOK. By undertaking the Diploma of Organisational Change Management, I have been able to raise the profile of the organisational change practice within my own organisation and build successful partnerships with Senior Management, Project Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, Training and Communications to deliver on business change outcomes and realise benefits. RIMER is the framework I continue to use today to implement organisational change within the organisation.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Diploma of Organisational Change Management course delivered by Christina. If you are looking for a methodology for implementing organisational change, then the RIMER methodology will provide you with the necessary tools and framework to help you be successful in your role.
I have known Christina for several years in her roles as a Change Management Consultant and as an Executive Coach. She always operates in a professional manner and demonstrates exceptional knowledge and abilities in her work.
Christina led the diploma of organisational change managment that I am currently completing. I have found Christina to be motivated, driven by purpose and extremely open and giving of herself during this course. I'm pleased to be associated with Christina.
I became aware of Christina's pioneering work in change management and invested in purchasing the RIMER change management methodology to enhance the service I provide in project delivery. Christina has applied proven motivational and behavioural theories to the development of RIMER methodology for successfully delivering change to organisations. This is proving to be a scalable method for overcoming natural resistance and fear when implementing projects. Christina has successfully filled a void by providing tools and framework for implementing change management. The RIMER (Respond, Inform, Motivate, Enable and Restore) methodology brings to change management what PMBOK and Prince2 brought to project management.
My professionals life has crossed roads with Christina's on numerous occasions over the past 5-7 years, and each time I am always impressed with her foresight and her gracious way of delivering new perspectives on old problems. Her track record in managing and leading organisations (and their people) through change is impecible, and she has enormous value to bring to so many businesses and business people. As such, I would like to provide the strongest possible recommendation for Christina.
Christina was responsible for defining and assisting in the realisation of all IJIS Benefits. I found her to be passionate about her work, very knowledgeable in the area of specialisation and an easy person to communicate with. I would welcome an opportunity to work with Christina in the future.
