I have been a licensed physical therapist since 1998 and a healthcare manager/director since 2000. My experience includes building/leading outstanding teams, mentoring, consulting, applying technology, and finding creative solutions for challenging problems.
I have trained with the Gallup Organization in creating talent based organizations and application of the Strengthsfinder tool in managing teams. My clinical background includes orthopedics, sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and manual therapy.
I have worked in corporate, private, and hospital settings as a clinic director, group director, and practice owner. In addition to clinical care, my duties have included operations, marketing, management, mentoring, budgeting, billing, revenue cycle management, and selecting appropriate technology.
I have written on topics of health, wellness, personal development, and practice management for blogs and a national industry magazine. I currently accept B2B and B2C freelance writing assignments for companies and organizations.
During my career, I have used several EMR systems including Epic. I have additional knowledge and experience in web design (Wordpress, Genesis, Hubspot, etc), CSS, inbound marketing, social media, Google Analytics, and other tools. I have participated in beta testing and consulting for several software companies including EMR, web-based exercise platforms, and virtual therapy visit applications.
