WHAT I DO:
As a conversion optimization strategist, I work with marketing managers and business owners to scale up their businesses by analyzing and teaching how they can improve their online conversion rates.
HOW I DO IT:
First, I conduct a preliminary analysis of both the website and the business as a whole. Based on my diagnosis, I tend to recommend either A/B testing or a full-scale analysis. If the site has been fully analyzed, the next step is to create of a mockup of the website with alternative design and coding, paying special attention to mobile device compatibility.
HOW IT WORKS:
Often business owners put a lot of money into creating websites that “look pretty,” only to realize that pretty doesn’t make them any money. The key to increasing profits is to focus designers, coders, and marketers on the one metric that does matter: conversion. When this has been done, the result is usually a radical increase in sales or incoming leads.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
Unlike most conversion optimization specialists, I focus not only on increasing conversion rates, but also on emphasizing the business behind the website. This can result in finding ways of turning the knowledge of each company into content that can reduce customer retainment cost and increase the lifetime value of each customer.
I also regularly teach what I practice locally at General Assembly and to international clients.
