British entrepreneur. Ex equity and derivatives trader @ Bank Of America, strong financial background. Now Co-Founder @ Bar Pass.
I have recently raised $1m in funding and during this process examined a number of sources including VC's, Angel's, Corporates and Crowdfunding. I have also invested as an angel so know what they look for. Each type of investor has their pro's and con's which will help determine the most efficient route for you.
I have been through various public speaking courses while in banking and also more recently during accelerators. I have presented in front of hundreds of people on a number of occasions.
I am currently working in PayPal's offices as one of 5 companies to be in their UK accelerator. Before this my company was one of 10 companies to be part of Microsoft Ventures in London. Both of these experiences have helped our company a huge amount in terms of customer and product development, introductions to Corporates and cost saving incentives such as free hosting, payment fees and office space among many other things. Demo day was also incredibly useful as a fundraising tool.
My career started in finance where I built and used many models to handle a multi million dollar trading positions. I have more recently applied those skills in modelling for Bar Pass and also when raising funds.
I started my career at Bank of America on their graduate scheme which involved a three month training scheme broadly covering all parts of the financial markets. I then spent the following 5 years trading equities and derivatives at Bank of America and also completed part of the CFA exam.
