Different suppliers are assigned to develop and produce parts for the airplane and different customers have diverse configuration wishes of an airplane, it is a very big task and challenge to request, create and validate the big amount of interface points, where parts can be connected to. These circumstances lead to increasing costs and time shifts on production side. I was assigned to find a solution. I developed new optimized processes for suppliers and Airbus, based on this I designed a Database tool, designed a Storyboard and composed an extensive specification for the implementation. In order to harmonize all purchasing processes within the German locations of the company, I was assigned to analyze the different purchase processes in order to optimize them and prepare them for the implementation in a new tool, developed in association with our Spanish colleagues. Therefore, I needed to be in line with controlling and accounting regulations.

The main task of the project was to design and develop mechanical systems of the commercial systems from 3D Engineering over Stress Engineering to 2D Engineering, in order to develop single part drawings, which are needed to produce the parts, and afterwards the installation drawings that are needed to build the aircraft. Therefore complex processes were needed to fulfil this. Since the project was mismanaged for 4 years, no processes, planning and tools were given and working and so no KPI’s could be generated. I became Project Recovery- and Process Manager, in order to introduce project management, new processes, and care about Stakeholders (CEB-Level).
