As an associate editor for Airstream Life Magazine and a former newspaper owner and editor (five years), I know what newspapers and magazines want and don't want in a press release. What they don't want is to hear you toot your horn, unless you've really done something amazing, like pull someone out of a burning car or building. What they DO want is for you to tell them what you have to offer THEIR readers. They want a story about what you do that will inform, educate or entertain their readers. They DON'T want a shopping list of bulleted items about why you rock or how great you are. Harsh, but true. If you don't know your best story, the one that lands you a front page feature story in your local (or the national) press, I do.

I had the great fortune to interview Becky - an excpetionally talented speaker and writer for my book "How to Deliver a TED Talk." She possesses incredible depth of knowledge on storytelling. But, more importantly, she leads a giving compassionate life.
If you need any type of writing project done from a highly creative, energetic professional who will have your best interests at hand, you have to work with Becky Blanton.
She has a knack for consuming herself into your business and developing superb work that shows her commitment and creativity towards your project. Becky goes above and beyond the scope of the job.
I'm very blessed to have met her and always enjoy talking to her about anything from a new project to life in general. Becky is one of the few people I have met on the internet that I truly trust.
From the moment she did a consulting call with me, I knew she was someone I could work with. She was very personable, I felt she actually heard me. First off, she listens to her clients, has great ideas and concepts, and is an exceptional writer. She truly has a great gift and is very willing to help others out who are just starting out. It is very refreshing to meet someone of Becky's caliber. Thanks Becky, I look forward to our continued working relationship!!!
Becky is a very good reporter, a productive writer and a woman with great insight into cultural trends. I was a source for a series of articles she wrote on the juvenile justice system several years ago, and the reporting was accurate, thorough and had a positive impact on the community. She's been a mentor to many aspiring writers.
Hiring Becky = Best money I have ever invested in my business... She's got the magic touch.
I highly recommend her writing... whether its a book, brochure, or website content, She's the one!
How am I supposed to properly write a testimonial to Becky?
I'll be the first to publicly state that Becky is a shoo-in future Nobel prize winner for her work with the homeless and disadvantages. Her writing is fantastic and thought provoking... her concise insights and her finger on the pulse of the next big thing makes Becky someone that you should definitely get in touch with...
I don't think I have ever had an interaction with Becky, whether in personal interaction or via the written word, that did not lead to a light bulb moment...!
