Empathize: do you know your users and care about their lives? It’s time to get to know them, take a walk in their shoes.
Define: framing the problem is the only way to the right solution. Create an actionable, narrowly defined and meaningful problem statement.
Ideate: it’s not about coming up with the ‘right idea’, but rather generating a huge range of possibilities. The only rule is there are no rules in this stage.
Prototype: you could spend hours documenting requirements, but a prototype is the best way to bring it to life and avoid the cost of competing perceptions.
Test: testing is an opportunity to learn about your solution and your users. Show, don’t tell and compare experiences and multiple prototypes.
