Andy and I were involved in an early-stage social network startup in the wedding space in 2009 along with another entrepreneur. Andy implemented a technical plan for the first version of the product using agile practices, sourced relevant suppliers and executed part of the build himself. He was also closely involved in other business discussions and the design of the product itself. He is a talented critical thinker with business acumen, and a great addition to any early stage company.

Worked with Andy on an enterprise consumer project, backed by content in 60+ territories and 40 languages; the execution was time sensitive and based on a global sporting event; there was a need to develop within a restrictive third-party frameworks; security requirements were instrumental due to a seven figure sterling prize fund. Andy was pivotal in the success of the project and as the lead developer performed during periods of extreme stress and demanding project requirements. I saw the whites of his eyes and there was no blinking, or a vacant thousand yard stare – he continued to produce quality code under difficult conditions and ship bug-free product within the deadline. Blessed with a good sense of humour, creative streak and curiosity for emerging technology and best practice, Andy is an asset to any company or project.
