Over the last 6 years, I have been the Chief Executive Officer of Goodlife Pharmacy, East Africa’s largest private Pharmacy chain, having taken it from 19 stores to over 120 locations, and continuing to expand in the region. As an executive, I also restructured the organisation, quadrupling the footprint, increasing the revenue three-fold, and creating an EBITDA positive company. I am also a Board Director and advisor to Leapfrog Investment, our Private Equity firm, who have a majority stake in Goodlife Pharmacy, where I advise the board on strategic health opportunities. Recently, we were able to bring on a strategic investor, selling a 30% stake in the company. Prior to this appointment, I was the Chief Operating Officer of the Aga Khan University Hospital, where I was built, managed and operated close to 50 outpatient medical centres, consolidating diagnostic services and designing hospital systems in Tanzania and Uganda.
