I am the Executive Director of Universum University College, the leading higher education institution in Kosovo where I also lecture in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and am a Visiting Professor at the ‘New start-up creation program’ at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, a program attended by over 100 entrepreneurs, family business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. I am a serial entrepreneur and have Co-Founded iziSurvey.com and Anglia Academy. In addition, I am the Managing Director for Kosovo and Albania of Wilson Learning, one of the world's leading human performance improvement companies for the Global 2000, Fortune 500 and emerging organisations worldwide with offices in over 50 countries.
I am the National Team Leader in conducting the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), the major entrepreneurship research in the world. I have mentored Entrepreneurs in Prishtina, New York and Silicon Valley and was a Coach and Mentor at Prishtina Startup Weekend and NYC Education Startup Weekend. I have also provided angel investments to several startups in Prishtina, mostly successful projects of my own students and am working to create the Kosovo Business Angels Network (KOSBAN). I am an innovator in higher education and have been featured in the cover page of CIO Magazine for a project in 'Teaching with Social Media', the first of this kind in the Balkans and am part of the team developing the first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform in the region. I starred and was the host of the 'We have a Job for You' TV Show in the Radio Television of Kosovo (modeled after 'Apprentice' with Trump/Sugar) and am a regular commentator for regional media as well as regular columnist at Kosovo daily ‘Zeri’ where I write about Education and Entrepreneurship.
I am a fellow at New York University, Steinhardt Institute for Higher Education Policy and an Executive Committee Member at EAIR – the European Higher Education Society, the first and the only board member from South East Europe in the 35 years history of the association.
I am doing a Doctorate in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath (UK), have an MA in Contemporary European Studies (Political Economy) from the University of Sussex (UK) and a BBA from South East European University in Macedonia. I am the Managing Editor of International Journal of Balkan Policy Research (www.balkanpolicyjournal.net) and have been a keynote speaker in major conferences in the region and have spoken at conferences in three continents.
