Are you stuck? Fear holding you back? Inner critic won't shut up? I've been there. Heck, I'm there now even as I write this! But I've learned how to overcome it, how to move my life forward in spite of anxiety, insecurity and shame.
I've spent the last year training to be a certified Integral coach — combining business coaching and life coaching into one. You're a whole human being after all! We bring our home stuff into work and we bring our work stuff home. In fact, trying to compartmentalize can make things even worse.
I've learned that we get in our own way when our thoughts, our feelings and our actions are out of alignment. In other words, we tend to suffer the most when we think one thing, feel another thing, and do something else entirely. But when we bring our mind, heart and body together, we become unstoppable.
My techniques help:
- crystallize the issue you're currently facing
- uncover the deeper cause of this issue
- identify the stories you tell yourself about who you are that prevent you from being who you're meant to be
- find a new story to live by
- form new habits that slowly make a new you
- see yourself in a new light
- open new possibilities for your life you never previously considered
- become self-generating and self-correcting for long-term growth on your own terms
I offer one-on-one 100% confidential coaching sessions — one-time only, or long-term. Only you can decide what you need right now.
In a one-time only session, I'll spend 30 minutes getting to know you and your issue, followed by 30 minutes of inviting you into a new perspective. This includes a lens through which to see your issue and 2 exercises to slowly create a shift: 1 self-reflection and 1 body practice. You'll walk away with the tools to begin to change in your life.
In a long-term coaching engagement, we meet regularly (from once a month to once a week, depending on your needs) for a period of 3-6 months. Each session is an hour and takes place on the phone, on Skype, or in person if possible. We will start with a 90-minute getting-to-know-you, followed by my proposal for the purpose and outcomes we'll be working towards together throughout our engagement. You will get everything described in a one-time session but on an ongoing basis, allowing us to check in on your progress each session and design new exercises as appropriate. The more you put into this, the more you'll get out. I am here to be your compassionate witness, but it's up to you to do the hard work. My clients have seen major life transformations, personally and professionally, in a matter of months.
Are your ready to clear away the cobwebs and get back to being your best self?

Whitney was one of the best IA's I've had the pleasure to work with on a number of projects. She's brillant, strategic and a real team player. I highly recommend Whitney for tops in IA/UX.
Source: LinkedIn Dori Stowe Apr 2, 2013As a developer, it relieves a lot of stress to have someone who can bridge effectively between design, client, and back end considerations, and that person has to be adept and empathetic to all concerned parties. Whitney consistently impressed me with her ability to understand and accommodate programming issues as this is often one of the more opaque parts of the process for anyone who doesn't do it directly.
Her understanding of basic concerns as well as specific capabilities (and limitations) of the technologies involved ensured that every project we worked on together was executed to its potential.
She's an invaluable resource for any technology driven assignment.
Whitney proved herself to me in a very short period of time as a very capable and insightful interaction designer. She provided sound recommendations on customer user flows, content hierarchy, best practices for site design, and much more.
In the case of one project (which she now appears on the patent for) she not only led the interaction design, but proved herself as the primary go-to for all consumer research and usability testing. After the project was over, she retained the knowledge so well and debriefed the new clients so thoroughly, that they dubbed the meeting a "VH1 Behind the Music" session!
Source: LinkedIn Marc Appel Apr 2, 2013Working with Whitney changed my perception about what an Interaction Designer / Information Architect really brings to the table. Her understanding of the user and how to design the best experiences for them is a no brainer. But the real kicker is how she conceptualizes an idea that started on a dinner napkin. She takes a "What if" and turns it into a fully flushed out site design. It's a very unique creative skillset that anyone would be priviledged to collaborate with.
Source: LinkedIn Henry Min Apr 2, 2013I worked with Whitney on a challenging and complex project. Her insights and innovation against the stated goals of the project were inavluable to a the successful outcome we achieved. And she's a whole lot of fun to be around too! I would welcome Whitney on any team and expect that she would be a valuable contributing member.
Source: LinkedIn Barbara Mousigian Apr 2, 2013Renaissance woman is probably the best way I can describe Whitney. She’s versatile, intelligent, and talented—all qualities that make her well equipped for the world of interaction design and interactive marketing. Whitney and I worked briefly but intensely on a very innovative project which required us to be flexible and forward thinking. I enjoyed working with her and would recommend her in a heartbeat as she is a valuable asset to any company she works for.
Source: LinkedIn David Armano Apr 2, 2013Whitney is remarkably poised, confident, and knowledgeable. Not only did she do an excellent job designing an innovative transactional flow on the project we worked together on, she also provided expertise on the approach to usability testing. She's very good with clients at the director and VP-level; her knowledge is evident and they trust her guidance. She's more confident in client discussions than many people who are senior to her. I have no doubt that she's going to be a leader in the field. I would absolutely welcome the opportunity to work with Whitney again.
Source: LinkedIn Susana S. Martins Apr 2, 2013Whitney is a bright, outspoken, young professional who I had the pleasure of partnering with on key applications for American Express that were built in flash. I would highly recommend Whitney as an interaction designer who is well grounded in the field and has a brisk and competent approach to complex projects.
Source: LinkedIn Pro Bose Apr 2, 2013Whitney is a rare gem: personable, professional and incredibly talented. Her grasp on user-centric design is fantastic, but what's better is how contagious she is with her enthusiasm and passion for great work. I'd have her on any team at the drop of a hat.
Source: LinkedIn Greg Johnson Apr 2, 2013Whitney is extremely knowledgeable about the nature of interactive application development and is consistently able to maintain focus on the most important issues while adapting on the fly to the sorts of changes that invariably arise at inopportune times. As a developer it's incredibly valuable to be working with someone with her ability and her departure from DTAS has underscored that point, to our loss.
