Wade MacCallum (BSc. , BBA) has extensive experience across Canada in the QSR industry. His family have been franchisees for 24 years and own 17 locations from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.
Wade's experience as a Tim Hortons franchise includes:
- 11 Years as a franchisee of 4 locations in Toronto, Ontario (urban)
- 4 Years as a franchisee of 4 locations in Calgary, Alberta (urban/ suburban)
- 2 years as a franchisee of 2 locations in Golden, British Columbia (rural)
His work as a franchisee primarily focused on the re-engineering of under performing locations. Of the 10 locations across Canada he has purchased 6 were successful 'take-overs' from struggling franchisees.
In addition to his work as a franchisee he has assumed several other related senior roles within Tim Hortons.
He proudly represented two separate regions as the elected Franchisee Advisory Board member for both Central Ontario (6 years) and again for Alberta (2 years). His work in this role was that as a franchisee adviser to the Executive team and as such worked closely with the corporate team on all fronts. This experience provided him unique insight into the operations and direction of the Tim Hortons brand under both TDL (pre-2015) and RBI/3G (post 2015).
Most recently he is the Founder and a Director of the Great White North Franchisee Association which launched on March 2017 and is now the largest Franchise Association in Canada, and one the largest in North America.
In addition to this experience he has worked with Subway, KFC, American Express, as well as recently starting a new commercial development company (DMC) which specializes in restaurant development and construction.
