Smart Home Automation

In my mind there are four components to Smart Home automation.

1. Network architecture at home. Does your current network infrastructure support what you want to do? Have you done a needs analysis, capacity planning and growth planning to avoid unnecessary future costs and add ons or unplanned upgrades?

2. Network or Component integration. Are you planning on running a multimedia server or have many computerised components which would be required to work together, share controls or integrate with one another, and what the impact will be on your network needs?

3. Smart Home. You might have some internet enabled devices which will be able to run a schedule or support a home assistant like Alexa, Google or Homekit. Smart home is an isolated concept though and should be separated from the term Home Automation as they are two separate things, but works well together.

4. Home Automation. Home automation is taking your network, smart home devices and integrations and make them work seamlessly in a carefully planned eco system.

I have years of IT, networking and integration experience and tested nearly every OS, integration and smart device I can lay my hands on and can package this knowledge to assist you in doing the same for your home or business.
