Ultz is a wise guy! Was good to learn which direction I should take my startup and how to prepare myself for potential investors. Great insights into A/V industry, partnerships, and investor relationships. Thanks!
Source: Clarity Vitaly Kirkpatrick Apr 4, 2019Wonderful insight from somebody who's already done it – I appreciate the advice at such an early juncture in the business, and also how Utz is 'paying it forward'. That said, I hope to pay it forward myself one day as well – thank you, Utz!!
Respectfully,
Greg

Source: Clarity Stefan davy Sep 2, 2015Great input by Utz on all aspects of startup lifecycle. He is extremely knowledgeable on startup challenges , immediately understood my problem statements and provided great insights on how to address the challenges ahead. I am grateful to a suggestion that someone on clarity boards provided earlier to contact Utz and looking forward to his continued guidance. Glad that I set a call with him. Highly recommended !!!
Source: Clarity Sohail Jalal Aug 4, 2015I felt like I talking to a true friend today. I've never talked to anyone as altruistic as Utz. It was so good that I stayed on 30 minutes more than I had scheduled.
Schedule your call with him now, he's easy to talk to and you're guaranteed to get value.
Source: Clarity Jeffrey Sada Jun 10, 2015Utz and I have worked together in one capacity or another for six years. Initially, we served together on the CEDIA board. When Utz was appointed Chairman of the Board, I served under him. Then, when the board hired Utz as CEDIA's CEO, he reported to the board and directly to me as Chairman. My point in explaining the changing nature of our working relationship is to say that we've worked for each other and side by side, giving me a unique perspective on Utz's skills and abilities, not to mention his character.
Utz is first and foremost a visionary. He sees the big picture and can visualize the future. My experience tells me that having a vision isn't in and of itself valuable unless you have the ability to act on that vision. And in order to guide others in the desired direction, one must build consensus by earning their trust and support, and then lead the way. Utz is a natural leader. He's strategically minded, articulate, and an exceptional orator.
While I recommend Utz to any organization in need of a true visionary and leader, I feel Utz will be most effective as a change agent in an organization that knows it needs to change, adapt, or evolve but isn't sure how to go about it. Utz has an uncanny gift of perusing the landscape, setting a direction and charting the course.
I feel honored to have worked side by side with Utz and call him a friend.
Source: LinkedIn Randy Stearns Mar 5, 2015It has been a pleasure to work with Utz whilst he has been CEDIa President and particularly whilst he was CEDIA CEO. His direct involvement on the ISE Board and direct input into its management has certainly contributed to the success of ISE. Utz's long industry experience will certainly be of benefit to any company.

It has been my privilege to work with Utz Baldwin in his capacity as CEO of CEDIA over the past several years. His guidance and stewardship of joint projects with InfoComm such as Integrated Systems Europe has been instrumental in the growth and success of the event. I’m sure Utz will be able to bring those leadership skills to whatever future endeavor he may choose.
