After developing an interest in environmental chemistry during my undergraduate studies at Lake Superior State University, I earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Montana State University, where my research focused on renewable energy at the molecular level—ranging from bio-hydrogen production to studying hydrogenase proteins involved in catalytic hydrogen generation.
Following graduate school, I became Director and Process Engineer at Full Circle Biofuels in Bozeman, helping build a regional network collecting used cooking oil across Montana and Wyoming and converting it into ASTM D6751 biodiesel feedstock for producers in the Pacific Northwest.
Entrepreneurially, I co-owned and operated Nordic Brew Works for five years, after helping design the brewery facility in partnership with the Paine Group. Nordic Brew Works was voted Best New Restaurant in 2019 by Bozeman’s Best.
Today, I work with Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities to expand alternative fuel adoption—including EVs, CNG, propane, renewable diesel, and charging infrastructure—across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. I’m also a licensed Montana real estate salesperson.
In addition to my work in energy and sustainability, I am also a licensed real estate salesperson in Montana, helping clients navigate opportunities in one of the fastest-growing regions in the Mountain West.
