The industries that I have worked within vary from refrigeration to insurance, from family owned to fortune 500, and many in between. I am considered a thought leader who broke the boundaries of what it means to be an administrative professional and who helped put State Farm's Strategic Resources Department on the forefront of employee's minds through various speaking engagements and leadership opportunities.
I worked my way up from Host to Secretary 1 and then to Secretary 2 in State Farm's Strategic Resources Department. I gained a wealth of knowledge in regards to professional creativity, how to push the envelope just enough to burst in your favor, and leadership with regard to taking chances.
Prior to State Farm I worked as a Secretary for Coldwell Banker where I learned how to master and successfully utilize the fundamental skills of a successful administrative professional including communication, organization, accountability, reliability, and software/hardware experience.
Prior to Coldwell Banker I began my administrative career as a Secretary for a small family owned distribution company called T&N Chicago, Inc. There I learned a ton regarding personal accountability, professional ethics, the basics of multi-tasking, and what it really means to be an administrative professional.
I have also had my own tutoring company in the past, have assisted others with the paperwork for starting their own companies, as well as worked through temp agencies as an administrative professional and/or Secretary as well.
Teaching, communicating, and learning are all subjects of my life's passion and have been since I was a toddler.
