How to "Do" Diversity and Inclusion at Work
Created 10 years ago in Skills & Management / Productivity

Skill testing question: What is the difference between diversity and inclusion? While some of us know, many more don't. Research suggests that 100% of employees want to be proud of where they work, often citing diversity and inclusion as strengths of the organization. As a social justice advocate and diversity practitioner, I work with organizations to build healthy, inclusive and diversity environments. With a focus on increasing productivity, attracting top talent and creating impact, I prepare organizations for the 21st century.

In 48 hours, I turned my 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector into $100K through crowdfunding. People and media from around the world talked about my story. I was invited to speak at conferences and schools about the campaign. The success of this campaign was a culmination of my work in non-profit partnerships, social enterprise, education, social housing and youth development. Since then, I have coached everyday people on how to crowd fund for their cause and raise their public profile. At last count, I've helped fundraise over $250K for incredible causes. My personal journey as a once-homeless high school dropout taught me about the power of a story. Now, as a Harvard student, I have learned how to harness that gift and share it with others.
