Todd Mortenson MBA, NACD (Los Angeles) is an accomplished entrepreneur with an expertise in launching ventures and strategic planning. Having launched over ten ventures across multiple industries with vastly differing dynamics, Todd shares deep understanding of the issues that entrepreneurs face and offers uncommon insight.

Todd's experience spans a variety of industries from Technology and Digital Media to Hospitality and Restaurants to Oil & Gas and Aviation to Real Estate and Manufacturing. Several career highlights include acquiring a Hilton Resort as VP Business Development, having raised over $250 million for the acquisition and development, while creating, training, and leading the real estate sales and marketing division to achieve over $125 million in sales in nine months. Additionally, Todd joined an early stage Oil & Gas exploration company as President to develop the business plan, acquire 340,000 acres of drilling rights in a third world country, and hire a team of industry veterans to commence exploration. While carrying out the previous ventures, Todd was Chairman of a CD/DVD/USB manufacturing company he founded and lead for 13 years until selling the company to a local competitor. Today Todd leads an internet technology services firm that offers domain registration services, web development, digital marketing, and mobile app development.

Todd received his MBA with a concentration in New Ventures from the University of St. Thomas (Minneapolis, MN). While there he served as a business plan analyst for the Minnesota Seed Capital Network. Additionally, he was invited to be a delegate and represent the US in the first Franco-American Entrepreneur’s forum in Paris, France. Further, Todd received a Certificate of Director Professionalism from the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors).

While launching businesses, he still enjoys serving the community. For example he spent eight years volunteering to the fund distribution panel for The United Way, reviewing the plans and operations of non-profit agencies seeking funding. Todd has been a mentor for a variety of entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs for over ten years.

His first career was an airline pilot. Todd received all of his professional pilots licenses and ratings while attending the University of North Dakota, where he completed his Bachelor of Science: Aeronautical Studies degree in only 3 ½ years. Upon Graduation, Todd was one of two that were chosen to pilot for the passenger airline, United Express. When selected he only had 280 hours of total flight time and has over 2000 flight hours to date.
