What are the best bang-for-the-buck web marketing, e-commerce, e-learning tools. Word of warning, it starts with WordPress.
I started the Media Kitchen, a web design, development and Internet marketing firm about 15+ years ago. I have created award winning work for IBM, Intel, Pennington Grass Seed and How Stuff Works, to name a few. I have also worked with The Weather Channel and Cartoon Network on several fun marketing projects. One of my many awards includes a Webby for work with The Boys & Girls Clubs of America national headquarters.
For the past 10 years about 80% of what I do on a daily basis is WordPress, or custom PHP development that works within a WordPress environment. I'm very comfortable with PHP and MySQL, as well as HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Designed and developed a Groupon clone using WordPress, several premium plug-ins, and custom coding.

Using custom PHP and client side code, this product selector helps Temprite customers select the correct component for a multitude of cooling and refrigeration applications. Users can select a refrigerant, 30+ to choose from, tonnage and operating temperatures to see which of Temprite's 50+ Oil separators are the most suitable for their application. I am also in the process of building this selector as a hybrid mobile app for iOS and Android.
McKesson Portables
I built an Intranet WooCommerce/WordPress application for McKesson that allows marketing professionals to schedule the use and delivery of trade show booths and displays, as well a as ordering literature and merchandise.

I am a firm believer that if you use WordPress as the core of your web and Internet marketing efforts. A self hosted site with a provider like WP Engine or Flywheel, Highly effective marketing tools like Mail Chimp or Google Marketing Platform, and a good developer, me, you can do anything.
