I've traveled around the world to 23 countries in a year out of a 26 liter backpack. I currently live and work from the road full time. I bought my 16-flight round the world ticket for $1100. I love talking travel and helping anyone who needs it.
I made it a goal that I wanted to see the world. As a 26 year old fresh out of graduate school I didn't have much money saved up so I needed to make sure my trip was done on a budget. I sold all of my stuff and left on a 12-month around the world trip to 23 countries and all I tool was a 26 liter backpack.
Dave Danzeiser is one of THE MOST loyal and committed people I have ever met. These admirable qualities reveal themselves in the years and countless hours of service that Dave has devoted to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Week of Welcome (WOW) orientation program. As a WOW Orientation Team member, for the past three years, Dave has passionately trained over 60 of his fellow students to become inspiring orientation leaders. He has thoughtfully organized sponsorships and entertainment. And as a WOW Staff in Charge member, Dave also took on the daunting task of running the week-long (24-7) WOW informational booth. Even as a grad student, after his official WOW-termed duties had ended, Dave still served WOW by helping out on many needed occasions.
Dave has done all of this, as he does everything, with an amazing enthusiasm, zeal, and genuine heart-warming pride that makes everybody want to rally both with and behind him. His joy for what he loves to do and for what others love to do is contagious. His jolly smile and ice-breaking jokes make him incredibly approachable. Dave Danzeiser contains all the wonderful qualities that make him a most gifted and natural-born leader and I am truly grateful to have gotten to know and learn from Dave while participating in the Week of Welcome program.
