Terrell Johnson specializes in West African Djembe percussions, with expertise in Malian, Guinean and Ghanaian music and folklore. He was born and raised in Philadelphia where he studied and trained starting at the age of three. He began performing professionally at the age of fourteen, traveling and working with various dance and percussion companies including Kulu Mele African Dance and Percussions where he is actively a member. In the course of his profession he has been afforded opportunities to work with universities such as Muhlenberg College, Drexel University, Bryn Mawr College and Temple University.
