Cofounder of Reify Health and Signal Vine, Rock Health fellow. Learning with machines, telling data stories, managing uncertainty, creating apps, and solving big problems in scalable ways.
I've been part of a cofounding team which twice produced viable, profitable companies. Being successful as an entrepreneur is an exercise in learning intensely and caring deeply about the pains of your customer. In those experiences and others working with early stage companies I've learned many ways to make things go right as well as many ways that they go wrong. I can share those experiences and help you to move closer to success in your own endeavors.
I've been doing data science and statistics passionately for over a decade. I taught myself these techniques voraciously and eventually began a PhD program at Johns Hopkins to study them more intently. I also know that data science doesn't isn't valuable at all until it's made trustworthy and available to decision-makers, be they your colleagues or your customers. To that end, I am hugely passionate about telling stories with data. I can help you and your teams make better use of data be it through better organization, project design, or technique. I can also help you to discover opportunities you might have to use data for better outcomes for your business.
Often the best way to solve a technical problem is to design the language that makes it easier to express and solve that problem. Domain specific languages are widely used in various technical domains and I've been fascinated with them in both theory and practice for the last 8 years. If you're either interested in designing one or already have begun to and are struggling to build it correctly I can help in the design and architecture of such systems by providing both implementation advice and broad techniques which are critical to making such a project successful.
