In 2011, I was a snowboard bum. I had taken jobs as a freelance writer, but I wasn't making much money. I went through one short-term contract after another, never quite getting to a point where I felt comfortable with the amount of money I was making.
Perhaps by luck, I stumbled upon a pretty good app idea. I took a game my friends and I were playing, and I put it out there on the App Store.
What happened afterwards launched my career as a mobile app developer. I had an actual product I had developed, a real thing making money that I could show prospective employers and clients. Suddenly, there was a demand for my skills and my pay doubled in a few short months.
Since then, I have become an expert on how to work as a remote software developer.
Maybe you want more freedom. Maybe you want more control over your schedule, or maybe you're like me and want to live somewhere you love and avoid expensive misery-inducing commuting.
I can help you. I've been doing this for nearly seven years, and I know all of the ups and downs. I have passive income streams and am saving at a faster rate than the typical American, pushing me closer to financial independence and the ability to wake up each morning and choose everything I want to do.
I probably don't know it all, but I've learned enough to help you on the path. I'd be more than happy to share my expertise.
