In just five years, I’ve grown my RIA from $15MM in assets under management to over $70MM. While this growth rate isn’t uncommon for a young, growing advisory firm, how I went about doing it is.
I learned early on that financial advisors only spend ~2% of revenue on marketing activities. I also learned that most advisors were still focused on dated growth strategies like seminars, cold knocking, and business networking events.
By investing more than the average advisor on marketing activities and thinking outside the box, we generated just over 100 inbound leads directly through our website in 2017.
In the chance you haven’t caught on, I’m a marketing nerd. I LOVE marketing. And I love implementing creative strategies to improve our firm’s visibility and help more people make smart financial decisions.
What I don’t love are industry marketing “consultants” who use inauthentic and often shady techniques to generate leads.
Everything I practice and preach is about providing massive value, being authentic, and optimizing things along the way to make sure our hard work gets seen.
If you’re interested in growing your practice through content marketing, SEO, creative branding, and more, I’d be honored to work with you.
