Tamra has a keen insight and grasp on new technologies, comes up to speed quickly and has the ability to contribute right away. I enjoyed working with her on a variety of tasks and would look forward to working with her again.
Tamra is an exceptional technology professional. Having mastered a challenging Engineering role supporting a national asset satellite program, she seamlessly transitioned into a leadership role in the Space Systems Division IT organization helping driver operational excellence across numerous, critical national and international programs.
Tamra is a strong manager that has strong organizational and communication skills. She and I were collegues on an internal Web 2.0 team. In that role, Tamra was a good facilitator for the meetings and provided the organizational skills to oversee a diverse team of individuals from across the organization. Tamra moved on to become an IT Program Manager where she fostered knowledge sharing across the organization.
I worked with Tamra first on a rollout and implementation of a corporate wiki. I found her to provide excellent leadership to an extermely diverse, and large group. Additionally she always maintained focus and provided direction, despite the several dozen varying agendas on the project.
Since then I've worked on a few other efforts with Tamra and have been consistently amazed by her abilities. In addition to being a great leader, she has definate technical strengths. She is great at listening and getting an understanding for all sides involved. Tamra can maintain customer expectations and difficult program milestones without alientating her team, which is sometimes set aside by others in order to assure performance.
Working with her has always been a pleasure!
I worked with Tamra on a Six Sigma project to improve the variance reporting process where we were the junior personnel on the team. She quickly stood out as a leader in the group by taking on difficult portions of the project, providing constructive feedback to the group, and driving to complete the project. In addition, I teamed with her on a project to address issues related to the integration of a new IT HW/SW procurement process. I represented the end-users and she represented the IT organization. I found that she was customer/end-user focused, receptive, constructive, and extremely adept at taking user feedback and translating it into actionable tasks that could be performed by IT to improve the overall procurement process. During both projects I found that Tamra was extremely easy to work with, she always kept the end goal in mind, never shied away when tasks became difficult or end goals seemed impossible to achieve, and was a key component of each project’s success. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Tamra for any role and hope to have an opportunity to work with her again.
I have known Tamra for a couple of years and worked with her as she led the Space Segment CDA/CDR campaign. She showed great ability to lead our team, execute on schedule, and deliver a good product. Perhaps the most lasting impression I have of Tamra is that she thoroughly enjoys mentoring and developing those around her. She has been a great inspiration in both my personal and professional life, and I would highly recommend her.
I have worked with Tamra on two aerospace engineering projects over the course of several years. Tamra has both technical and leadership skills. She is able to dig into the technical details of a design effort, without losing sight of the higer level goals of cost and schedule constraints. Her interpersonal communication skills make her a joy to work with, and teams naturally form around Tamra due to this rare and potent combination of technical and leadership skills.
I had the privilege of working with Tamra for a couple of years at Northrop Grumman. During the time I worked with her I was continually blown away by her ability to lead, organize, and execute on vast and complicated projects. She has an extremely personable and inclusive leadership style, allowing members on any given team feel like meaningful contributors. I can't think of anyone who didn't look forward to working with Tamra.
While taking one of most intense class at UCLA Anderson, I teamed up with Tamra and another fellow student for one quarter. I was extremely impressed with her ability to quickly understand complicated financial analysis and contribute with insightful findings, even though the subject was not her traditional expertise. She is also extremely easy to talk to, even on our many 11th hour meetings. Working with and getting to know Tamra was a pleasure and I would highly recommended her.
