Deciding if You Should Become an Entrepreneur
Created 9 years ago in Business / Getting Started

So you're thinking about starting your own company. The startup life is a rewarding one but it can also be deeply difficult. It's not for everyone, but many people don't find that out until they're already in it. Conversely, some folks are well-suited for the life of a startup founder but figure it out so late that they've lost both time and opportunity.
I've spent twenty years working in the Valley, the last eight as a startup founder. In that time I've lived all the ups and downs of the startup world and shared stories and advice with many of my peers. I can help you strip away the hype and factually analyze your goals, needs, and expectations to determine if the entrepreneurial life is for you.

Founder, product manager and designer who has been working in Silicon Valley for twenty years. I am co-founder and CEO of Storium. Prior to Storium I co-founded and successfully sold Blockboard, a mobile social network for neighborhoods. I was director of product for social bookmarking pioneer del.icio.us, oversaw R&D efforts at Yahoo that produced search breakthroughs later copied by Google, and was a product manager for BEA Systems' WebLogic family of Java technologies. I've bootstrapped, crowdfunded, and venture funded my way across this industry, and have loved every minute of it.
