I had the pleasure of working with Stever at my first tech writing job. Better than that, I've had the pleasure of his friendship since we were in high school together.

Stever was and is an incredible person. He's an awesome programmer--my husband was saying the other day that people at Bachman (where they both worked) always talked about what an amazing developer Stever was. But he's moved on to apply his intellect and drive to other things, such as innovative areas of business.

Stever has the same enthusiasm and curiousity that you see in young children. He continues to explore and learn and is constantly applying his learnings. I'm always amazed at his ability to see connections between seemingly disparate items, and figure out how to make those connections into something tangible. That's why his moniker, Get It Done Guy is an apt one. I'd highly recommend Stever if you want to get something done--or if you just need someone to bounce ideas off of in a fruitful manner.

Motivating, Inspirational, Wow!!

I have seen Stever give major speeches and host webinars and he is an outstanding communicator with a powerful message. He speaks well to empowerment, charting your own path, and simply "going for it". He can present and command the attention of students, middle managers, and corporate leaders.

He has also been very helpful to me, and when I asked him, very helpful to one of my students at The University of Richmond.

His philosophy to "lead an extraordinary life" is well founded, and well lived by Stever.

If you want to jazz up your life, or inspire people around you, then get Stever on your team.

Thanks to some sage wisdom from Stever I started and built what has become my most exciting project of my career. Stever worked on a committee with me to develop and produce one of MIT's signature annual programs, Tech Day 2010. In addition to chairing the committee that year, he was the emcee for the program which was entitled Against the Grain: The power of thinking differently. Stever did a brilliant job as emcee. The auditorium was sold out at around 1200 people, and there was a virtual audience of MIT alumni worldwide tuning in. Throughout the three hours of program, he kept all the speakers flowing on time, plus he was a lively and entertaining emcee who did much to keep the audience engaged. Clearly, Stever was one of the best hosts we have ever had for this program.

It's no coincidence that I grew bigger balls about a month after I started working with Stever. Fresh out of an MBA program, I was able to start making decisions that were proactive and value-based, not reactive and fear-driven. I turned down a perfectly good and reasonable job that offered a lot of security. Twice. A major reason was that Stever had provided me with practical frameworks for evaluating tough decisions.
