Simon has been deeply involved in the online environment since 1994
when he created South Africa's first commercial Intranet. Since then
he redesigned the core product offering for SA's biggest ISP Internet
Solutions and worked for a number innovative web start-ups and web
projects in the UK & USA and RSA.
Simon is especially proud of his time as Editor-in-chief of Shooting
People a social network of over 40 000 filmmmakers and Organising the
Digital Freedom Expo at UWC a free software conference which included
luminaries such as Larry Lessig founder of creative commons and Jimmy
Wales founder of Wikipedia
Simon has founded 4 companies a film production company, an Internet
marketing consultancy, and Internet strategy consultancy and a web
video business. He has an incredibly deep knowledge of what does and
doesn't work online with a focus on strategic and commercial
approaches.
