Less I can share yet about this as the IoT craze is so new that all my clients there make me keep my work secret. But I have worked on several devices, consumer and industrial, for smartphone linking and vehicle information. The failure points for these devices are not in the interface, but at the structural level. I understand how radios work (BLE is not the same as mobile, which is not WiFI) and how to make systems faster, more reliable and more responsive, as well as meet user expectations.

Steven has provided our company with a detailed blue print for developing the Location Sentry product line. He is creative punctual and his finished product is well thought out and professional. The framework Steve developed will provide the basis for all of our future product development.
I highly recommend Steven's work.

It is all too convenient to forget that at the other side of an app, microsite or email, there is a customer -- a person like you and me. Take a chance on Steven. I did and our product flourished.

If you're interested in learning the truth behind what you thought you knew about mobile, then I recommend hiring Steven.
Source: LinkedIn Dylan Rodrigues Aug 1, 2014In the time I had the honor to work with Steven, I learned he has an unparalleled ability to absorb, pay attention to, and mind detail. While some understand information architecture and taxonomy, Steven has a seemingly-effortless ability to see the smallest details and relate them back to the enterprise solution. Steven possesses not only the ability to think through every possible scenario for a given situation, but to know which scenarios need to be solved today, versus which ones can be applied as an iteration, after the product is shipped. Steven's knowledge couples a fundamental understanding of IA and usability research, enabling him to excel at formulating solutions
Source: LinkedIn Christian Manzella Aug 1, 2014I worked with Steven on a consulting assignment with Lowe's Home Improvement. He is an exceptional big-picture thinker but is equally able to dive into the details when necessary and creates some of the most thorough UI specifications I have seen. Steven has an impressive cache of usability research that he is able to readily call to mind in collaborative design discussions and I have met few professionals who truly *get* information architecture so well as he does.
Steven has a very open and direct personality, which I find refreshing in its transparency. I hope to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future.
Source: LinkedIn Teresa Hamilton Rench Aug 1, 2014I had an opportunity to work with Steven and I was astonished from day one. He thinks and works on every aspect of the UI design and every time comes up with 2-3 options, pros and cons and the area of scalability.
We got really very good ideas from his presentations and he added up lots of value to the product and the UI design.
Not to forget his amazing UI knowledge on all emerging and existing platforms !
Steven and I have worked together as designers at Little Springs Design and as coauthors to the book Designing Mobile Interfaces, published by O'Reilly. He is an expert and industry leader in mobile UI design and knowledge of mobile technologies.
Steven has a unique ability to understand complex situations and represent design solutions based on the user's needs and abilities while considering technological, business, and environmental constraints. His passion for graphic design and UX can be seen throughout his work, allowing him to design either well structured UML design documentations or usable GUIs for mobile applications.
Steven is an outstanding team leader and creative director who enjoys working collaboratively in diverse groups. You'll always find Steven eager to mentor and provide guidance to designers at any experience level.
Source: LinkedIn Eric Berkman Aug 1, 2014Steven has an unbelievable ability to look at a situation from several different viewpoints. His designs consider all situations and he is extremely detailed in his reasoning. He not only is able to consistently think outside the box but he is a pleasant individual and never gets rattled in high stress situations. He is patient and professional in his presentations regardless of the number of revisions to a design that might be requested.
