The best project and product managers do more than keep teams on task, on time and on budget. While these are crucial to success, the best managers recognize the value of clear user stories, rapid iteration, manageable sprints, user testing, validation and pivoting when needed. Using Agile, Lean or a blended model of both methodologies can lead to successful innovation.

The best managers are also leaders and strategists, able to see the larger picture and make executive decisions on the day to day details. They factor in time, resources and budget to sometimes make creative choices to arrive at the best solutions that best serve the target audience.
