Sharoon was more than helpful in my conversation with him. It was as if he had already prepared for a precise list of questions that had been previously provided to him, when in reality he was offering his insight real time. He downplayed his own company's expertise in the name of impartiality, although I really think we may be working with them in the future. I worked with Sharoon to learn OpenERP in detail, so I could support the software and develop new modules in it. He was in England, I was on the west coast of the US. We used screen sharing and phone communication in addition to materials he emailed to me. Sharoon has a very thorough knowledge of Python and OpenERP. He communicates it well and led me gradually through development of a new module step by step, teaching the model, view and interaction with services. He tolerated my many mistakes with editing XML, and gave creative solutions at each step of the way. Based on that experience, I was able to gain a consulting assignment in OpenERP, and have continued on to work with Tryton,. which is gaining significant maturity and becoming a real alternative to OpenERP.

I was introduced to Sharoon through a lead developer that was consulting with us in a ERP project. He was my trainer for the 15 days of official training and then for whole period of my employement. He is my mentor that taught me how to code and how to code properly. The quality of code that he improved in me was great. He taught me how to deal with errors and bugs. He always discarded spoon feeding and always made me strong by making me fight with the bugs. He always got the right tools in his hand and the method of using it too.
