How much equity should I ask as a CMO in a startup?

You are in the common stock series, you are probably, PreSeed, Seed stage and at most Series A

What I have seen based on experience:
Cofounders: Double digit equity:
Early employees: anywhere between 1% to 5 %
Advisors: 0.1-1%

Assuming you are an early C-level employee with good track record you can target 2%
