Samiur has had an large range of experiences applying Machine Learning and Software to solve problems. At Amazon, he helped to build an internal ML service called Elastic Machine Learning. Samiur then went in the complete opposite direction, going from truly big data volumes to tiny data in embedded systems. He worked on algorithms combining GPS and IMU data in embedded systems such as the Nike Fuelband. He now heads the Machine Learning team at Mattermark to organize the worlds business information, using NLP and ML to structure information found in the web about all the businesses in the world. He is passionate about increasing the accessibility and dissemination of knowledge and information.
